"I went to Free the Heart last weekend, a three day workshop designed to clear out the blocks we all have regarding love and peace in our lives. I was curious about the workshop before I went and as I asked more and more questions about it, the answers I got became more and more elusive. I now understand why. I can't sum up my weekend for you. I can't explain the amazing healing things we did and talked about. I can't explain it, but I can recommend the experience.
What I took away from it is peace. I'm really good at intellectualizing and labeling my issues, pulling out all sorts of words for my scars from the past. I am really good at telling you how they affect my every day, in a very detached way. But what I've not typically been good at, or have not experienced until this weekend, is moving on. So tonight as I sit in my apartment, what I'm left with is....nothing. No worries buzzing around my head, no fears looming in the darkness, no paranoia about the lessons I'm learning or not learning. I don't know if this clarity will last, but I know that this week has been lovely. This is the reward I get for taking time out for me, it's all starting to sink in. Life is GOOD, I just got to let it be that way."
